Mountain View
Mountain View is an Adult Family Home operated by providers Wally and Patricia Pratt. We are committed to enhancing the collaborative efforts of families, communities, and human service agencies to empower our residents to participate in opportunities for human growth and development. These opportunities should result in people (1) being included in the full range of community activities; (2) exercising self-determination in their lifestyle decisions; (3) contributing to and deriving support from a network of mutually supportive relationships; (4) developing ever greater competence in managing the necessities of life at home and in the community, and (5) enjoying the respect and approval afforded to valued members of their communities.
We are licensed as an Adult Family Home with a contract to serve D.D. Clients in a group home setting. We currently serve six young adults, ages 31 to 42, who are mild to moderate and some severely developmentally handicapped.
Mountain View occupies an attractive two-story home located in a semi-rural area overlooking the city of Ferndale. The building is not accessible to the non-ambulatory as we have stairs at the entry and on the inside.
