Bellingham View Adult Family Home
Bellingham View is conveniently located in town and sits on a scenic hilltop with a stunning view of Bellingham and features picturesque sunsets. Bellingham View is owned and operated by David and Phyllis Black. David has a Bachelors Degree in Social Science from Southern Oregon University. He is a past member of the board of directors of the local chapter of the Washington State Care Council of Adult Family Homes. Currently David is co-founder of “Select” Adult Family Homes. David is a Nursing Assistant - Certified by the State of Washington. In past years David worked for the Red Cross and Napa State Mental Hospital exclusively with seniors and the disabled.
Phyllis Black is a Nursing Assistant with many years of experience providing in home care for the elderly. Both David and Phyllis live in the Adult Family Home.
Bellingham View Adult Family Home focuses on life, and our heart is found in the relationships that flourish in our home. A departure from traditional care facilities, this new generation of Adult Family Home alter facility size, interior design, staffing focus, and methods of delivering skilled professional services.
Our primary purpose is to serve as a place where elders can receive assistance and support with activities of daily living and personal care, without the assistance and care becoming the focus of their existence. Each resident will have choice, dignity and privacy.
